Bio

Mazumder joined Wilson College of Textiles in the Fiber and Polymer Science (FPS) doctoral program at North Carolina State University (NC State) in Fall 2021 as a Provost’s Fellow. He completed his master’s in Apparel, Design, and Production from Oklahoma State University in Summer 2021. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Textile Technology from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. After completing his bachelor’s education, he worked as a faculty member at Port City International University in Bangladesh, where his primary research was on sustainable development in textile processing. As a master’s student, he did his research on the modeling for predicting the tensile strength, protective and comfort performances of the fabrics used in thermal protective uniforms. Mazumder’s particular interest in protective textiles led him to join Textile Protection and Comfort Center (TPACC) at Wilson College of Textiles. In his doctoral studies, he is continuing his research on thermal and chemical protection and comfort performance of firefighters’ turnout gear at TPACC.
